This past year has resulted in some of the most significant changes to the college planning process in decades. Admission trends, standardized testing requirements, and FAFSA or Financial Aid systems gained a major overhaul. Join us to learn how these changes may impact your family and learn about new strategies to consider to give your student the best opportunity to be admitted while maximizing scholarships and financial aid.

This Basic Life Support (BLS) training is a certificate-bearing course that trains participants to recognize and respond to life threatening emergencies, such as cardiac arrest and choking, by utilizing techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the automated external defibrillator (AED) device. Your certification will be valid for two years. Registration includes a pocket mask and the potential for an electronic BLS certification card.

Most people are familiar with the Ku Klux Klan in the southern states with its intimidation and lynchings, but why did the Klan come to Minnesota in the 1920s? Was their goal to have a presence in every state? What were their tactics? Who did they speak against? What specifically happened in Steele County? Our presenter has been researching the KKK in Minnesota for over 12 years and has co-authored an article about the Klan in the Minnesota History magazine. Come and learn about this surprising piece of Minnesota's history.

For years, your instructor has been gathering unusual stories from the past. In this course, participants will hear the gruesome, often tragic, and altogether interesting tales of real people! The stories may make you think of the "good old days" in Steele County a bit differently.
