When the temperatures drop, nothing beats a warm, hearty meal ready to enjoy after a long day. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to prepare comforting, make-ahead dishes perfect for chilly nights—think soups, stews, casseroles, and oven-roasted favorites. We’ll focus on simple, nourishing recipes that can be prepped in advance, stored, and reheated without losing flavor. You’ll leave with practical tips for efficient batch cooking, proper freezing and storage, and ideas for seasonal ingredients that make winter cooking both delicious and easy. Driver Education Training is required for students who wish to obtain their driver’s license before their 18th birthday. Driver Education Training by state law must consist of thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Students must attend the 30 hours of instruction offered on the dates and times listed. Every session must be attended, unless ill, but even then, those hours must be made up. It is recommended, but not required, that students be 15 years old by the last day of class. Registration includes both classroom and behind the wheel instruction. The Owatonna Driver Education program is approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and is taught by certified licensed instructors. This class is for participants who are 14.5 years or older before the start of classes. Please Note: There will be a “Parent Packet” that your child will bring home on the first day of class. This packet will explain all the steps necessary for your child to obtain a permit and license. This packet must be signed and returned to the Driver Education classroom for successful classroom completion. A 1.5hr Parent Class for the parents of a new student driver will be offered at the Owatonna High School. Attendance in this class is not mandatory. More information on the Parent Class will be provided in the Parent Packet mentioned above. Students do not need to attend the Parent Class.

Join us for a magical winter-themed class where warm memories are made! We'll gather around a crackling fire to listen to a delightful winter story that brings the season to life. After the story, each child will stuff their very own squishy plush friend to take home—perfect for cuddling on chilly days! We’ll end our time together sipping warm hot chocolate (with optional whipped cream and sprinkles!) while enjoying the cozy vibes of winter fun. This class is perfect for little ones who love stories, crafts, and a little extra warmth this season. Pajamas and cozy clothes encouraged!
