3D Printing: Jewelry Fabrication & Arts (Entering Grades 2-6)
Bring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCad and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, or a pendant in this class. If printing is not completed in class, prints will be mailed home. Please bring a lunch and a drink.

Pokemania STEAM Adventure (Grades 1-5)
Work on a stop-motion animated Pokémon-themed film. Pick your favorite characters to star in your mini-movie. The possibilities are endless! Students will build Pokémon-inspired sets and props to create animated game and stop-motion short. Students will also participate in other Pokémon-related STEAM activities. Bring a USB drive. Bring a lunch and a drink.

Are you struggling to find a balance for yourself as a caregiver? Do you find yourself struggling to take care of yourself because you have such limited time? Statistics show caregivers often do not take care of themselves when caring for a loved one as the continuous responsibility of helping their loved one in need leaves them feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, stressed, and with limited time to self-care. This program provides an opportunity for caregivers to connect with others in the community and receive support while also learning how to find time for themselves. Please join us for a bimonthly caregiver group coaching program starting soon!

Clay for Kids: Pottery Wheel 10yrs +

How do you throw clay on the wheel? It’s not what it seems. Learn how to use the wheel to create three dimensional forms and vessels. Demonstrations will cover the basics of wedging, centering, pulling, trimming, and forming useable vessels. Beginners come and get your hands muddy! If you are accustomed to clay come fine tune your skills, learn a new technique, and challenge yourself with larger more complex forms. Dress for a mess and wear tennis shoes. Join us for a weekly Wednesday evening with our All Levels Indoor Cycling Class! This will be a 30-minute class with a warmup, flat roads, hill climbs, sprints, seated, standing sections and a cool down with time to stretch. Most importantly, we will have fun! Bring water, a towel and tennis shoes or cycling shoes if you have them.

Looking for a total body-shaping workout? Look no further than Cycling for Strength! This is a great 45 minute workout that is sure to make your muscles burn by an instructor-led strength class with hills and climbs. This is a low-impact, toning workout that is a great beginners option. Arrive early to class, bring a sweat towel and a water bottle.

Downtown Owatonna Walking Tour
Local Walking Tours
Discover the past 150 years of Owatonna's history. If you are new to our city or if you have lived here a long time, this tour is filled with interesting and historical facts! Your curiosity of certain downtown landmarks will be answered! Our guide will share the history of many buildings and stories of the people who lived and worked downtown. We will cover about 1.5 miles. Dress appropriately for the weather conditions of the day and wear comfortable shoes!

Driver Education '23-'24 School Year
Driver Education
Driver Training is required for students who wish to obtain their driver’s license before their 18th birthday. Driver Training by state law must consist of thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Students must attend the 30 hours of instruction offered on the dates and times listed. Every session must be attended, unless ill, but even then, those hours must be made up. It is recommended, but not required, that students be 15 years old by the last day of class. Registration includes both classroom and behind the wheel instruction. The Owatonna Driver Education program is approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and is taught by certified licensed instructors. This class is for participants who are 14.5 years or older before the start of classes. Please Note: There will be a “Parent Packet” that your child will bring home on the first day of class. This packet will explain all the steps necessary for your child to obtain a permit and license. This packet must be signed and returned to the Driver Ed classroom for successful classroom completion. A 1.5hr Parent Class for the parents of a new student driver will be offered at the Owatonna High School. Attendance in this class is not mandatory. More information on the Parent Class will be provided in the Parent Packet mentioned above. Students do not need to attend this Parent Class.

Extreme Robotics: Battlebots (Entering Grades 4-8)

This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO). Working in teams, students will construct fun LEGO models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenges will be centered around hitting targets and a sumo battle. Please bring lunch and a drink.

From Dough to Delights: Flatbread Pizza & Pizza Panini
Special Interest
Apart from cheese and toppings, homemade dough and sauce are the key ingredients used to create mouthwatering pizza. But, what are the key ingredients used to make the homemade dough and sauce? Known as the Pizza Master "Pizzaiolo" in her family and community, our instructor, Tess will help guide you in her latest Pizza class where you will create an amazing flatbread and panini from scratch. On the menu: Flatbread Pizzas, Pizza Panini, and Pizza Sauce. Two of the instructor's personal recipes for two different homemade doughs will be used. One for the flatbread and the other for the panini rolls that will be turned into pizza panini. The instructor will also provide step-by-step guidance and instruction to ensure the process is as simple as possible. Participants will personalize their creations with toppings and fillings of their choosing. Equipment needs: A stand mixer is highly recommended. Sheet pans will be used and no panini press is needed.
