This course is designed for beginners and seasoned artists alike, providing a relaxed and supportive environment to discover the joy of creating stunning landscapes on canvas.
  • From Dough to Delights: Flatbread Pizza & Pizza Panini

    Apart from cheese and toppings, homemade dough and sauce are the key ingredients used to create mouthwatering pizza. But, what are the key ingredients used to make the homemade dough and sauce? Known as the Pizza Master "Pizzaiolo" in her family and community, our instructor, Tess will help guide you in her latest Pizza class where you will create an amazing flatbread and panini from scratch. On the menu: Flatbread Pizzas, Pizza Panini, and Pizza Sauce. Two of the instructor's personal recipes for two different homemade doughs will be used. One for the flatbread and the other for the panini rolls that will be turned into pizza panini. The instructor will also provide step-by-step guidance and instruction to ensure the process is as simple as possible. Participants will personalize their creations with toppings and fillings of their choosing. Equipment needs: A stand mixer is highly recommended. Sheet pans will be used and no panini press is needed.
  • Goat Milk Soap Workshop

    Come to The Green Shack and make some cold process soap. Everything you need to make a year worth of soap bars is included! Oils (solid and liquid), goat milk, lye, and scents will be mixed to make your one-of-a-kind soap. Cold process soap takes 48 hours to dry and then 4-6 weeks to fully saponify (turn into soap). You'll be able to bring your own silicone molds to fill or use some at The Green Shack.
  • Learn to Crochet

    This is a beginners class. You will learn to chain, single crochet, and double crochet. We will start with the very basics of the craft and make a simple scarf or hat. You will be able to choose from a larger variety of yarn colors for your project. The Green Shack will have hooks and extra yarn available for use or purchase. This class is offered on May 1 and May 15. Please indicate at registration if you would like to attend May 1 only ($39 per person), May 15 only ($39 per person), or both May 1 and May 15 ($65 per person).
  • Learn to Knit

    Venture over to The Green Shack and learn how to knit! You will learn how to cast-on, and begin basic knitting and purling techniques. Starting with the basics will result in a simple scarf or hat. You will be able to choose from a larger variety of yarn colors. The Green Shack will also have extra hooks and yarn available for use or purchase. This class is offered on May 8 and May 22.     Unleash your inner artist and indulge in your sweet tooth in our next sugar cookie decorating workshop! Join us for an interactive and fun-filled class where you'll learn the art of decorating sugar cookies like a pro. Your instructor, Angela Larson, will guide you step-by-step in the process of creating beautifully decorated sugar cookies that are almost too pretty to eat and even better, they are bee-themed! Angela will provide you with insider tips, techniques, all the supplies needed, and even her personal recipes. Expect to leave the class with your very own box of your newly decorated cookies.

    Looking to add self-care tools to your practice? Perhaps you are looking for new ways to relax, restore, and heal? You might find yourself interested in Reiki. Reiki translates to "universal life force energy." By learning Reiki, you will find balance which will stop stress in its tracks. It will also tap into your body's healing power to combat headaches, colds, and other illnesses. In this training workshop, you will learn the history of Reiki, the guiding principles of the practice, the first symbol, and basic energetic anatomy. You will also receive an attunement to Reiki Level I which is a sacred rite to ready your body for tapping into Reiki beyond this class. This series will include an opportunity to both experience and practice Reiki. Your instructor, Shannon, is a Reiki Master, Certified Shamanic Reiki practitioner, and owner of Majestic Tree Healing.

    This interactive and energetic workshop is designed for any early childhood educator or professional working with 3-5 year old children. The instructors are all former and current educators and professionals with vast experience and knowledge as to how to implement the S.M.A.R.T. program in any setting! At the workshop you will: Learn how the brain functions and is stimulated through movement, understand how to look at children developmentally, experience a variety of S.M.A.R.T. activities, participate in make & takes all while reserving time to plan.

Whether you are looking to host a memorable Dim Sum get-together or simply want to create something fresh to welcome in the spring, this is the class for you! Join Chef Tess as she walks you through the process of creating two types of spring rolls bursting with a symphony of flavors bold enough to wake up any and all of your taste buds. Choice of meat (chicken or pork) and veggies will fill the rolls. Two types of wrappers will be used. Participants will be able to customize fillings and seasonings according to taste or dietary preferences. Learn how to wrap, roll, and cook these small delights! Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and prep. A PDF packet of the instructor's personal recipes from this class will also be included. This class takes place online via ZOOM.
  • Spring has Sprung: Sugar Cookie Decorating

    Who doesn’t love getting out and doing something fun while also eating delicious cookies!? That’s what this class is all about! Our classes cater to the beginner. Whether you want a fun date, a girls-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you. For this in-person class, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and we take care of the rest. You will get a set of pre-baked cookies as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate them for a beautiful Spring creation. Our classes are one hour and a half, and that will give us enough time to decorate the cookies and answer any questions along the way. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cookies and the instructor's personal recipes!
  • Stained Glass Mosaic

    Join us at The Green Shack! In this class you will pick out a picture frame and find a coloring page picture online and trace it onto the picture frame. You will then pick out pieces of colored glass and then cut those pieces to fill in the picture. Use as much or as little color as you’d like. When you are all done, we will cover it with epoxy to finish it.

Join us as we discuss the basic structural differences, difficulties and appreciations in functioning, and basic lifestyle changes that can support and enhance brain functioning. It is not intended to take the place of working with your doctor or provider and no individual therapeutic advice will be offered other than to refer to the appropriate mental health care provider. It is intended to give information and recommendations based on the literature and to enhance and compliment current treatments. Our hope is that having discussions and sharing information will enhance individual self esteem, maximize brain function, and promote wellness throughout the neurodivergent community. Your instructor, Linda Zarrett is a clinical nurse specialist, board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and an ADHD Certified Clinical Service Provider.
