New summer projects! A swimsuit coverup, mini messenger bag, ear bud case and your personalized sewer’s handbook. The {YEL!} Project Runway Sewing Camp follows four basic principles: •Teach It!…Students are taught multiple hand and machine sewing techniques; •Practice It!… Students practice those techniques on basic projects; •Sew It!…Students increase their skill and sew more complicated projects; •Own It!…Students showcase their projects on the last day of class (family and friends are invited), then take everything home with them to walk the runway of everyday life!

We start in with advanced chess lessons right away. We will study opening theory, end game scenarios, and deeper strategic concepts. If you have previous experience with chess and want to take your game up a notch, this is the summer camp for you! Prerequisite: Previous chess classes, chess summer camps, or an 800+ ChessKid.com rating.

Build a fork lift, a boat, and more. Then program the fork lift to lift, the boat to chug, or design your own computer code to make them do...whatever you want. {YEL!}’s Teach It! Practice It! Build and code space rovers to scout out Mars, the moon, and other extraterrestrial environments. Also, create a dragster and volcano alarm to learn basic computer programming while having fun with friends!
