Owatonna Community Education

Little Huskies is a 4-week summer preschool experience for students that are 4-5 years old who will be in preschool during the 2025-26 school year. Students will have small group, large group, and play-based learning experiences focused on language, literacy, math, social, and physical development. Smaller class sizes will allow for individualized learning and growth. Student must be 4 years old by September 1, 2025. 

To qualify for this summer preschool experience, students must meet one of the following criteria:

• Has attended preschool but has had a lack of progress in academic and/or social skills based on report from current teacher.
• Meets any one of the following risk factors that have been identified by MDE:  qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch, is an English learner, is homeless, has an IEP, has been identified through screening with a risk factor, or is in foster care.

Transportation: Transportation is available. A consistent pick up and drop off address is needed (the pick up and drop off can be different).

**Registration for this class closes on May 30.  There will be two class sections running.  A third will open depending on staffing and enrollment #s.
