Step into the world of Julia Child and bring her culinary legacy to life on this delicious day trip! Begin your adventure at the Minnesota History Center, where you’ll explore the Julia Child: A Recipe for Life exhibit, celebrating the life, achievements, and iconic recipes of America’s beloved chef. After immersing yourself in culinary history, travel to Way Cool Cooking School in Eden Prairie for a hands-on French cooking class, where you’ll learn classic techniques, prepare delicious dishes, and enjoy tasting your creations. This trip is a perfect blend of culture, learning, and flavorful fun—no passport required! On the menu: Chicken Provencal and Mini Blueberry Clafoutis. Please note, we will be eating lunch after 1pm. If you need snacks, please plan to bring some or purchase on-your-own at the museum. If you have any mobility or dietary requirements, please let us know at registration. Your trip fee includes motorcoach transportation, lunch, and admission. Register no later than March 16.

Create fluid, organic designs through the use of acrylic paint and pouring medium. Each piece curated will be unique and original. No two pours are ever the same! This class includes two complete paintings ready to hang on your wall (frames not included). Wear clothes you can get paint on. No experience needed and all supplies are included. Ages 10 and older are invited to join this class!

Capture the beauty of winter in this guided acrylic painting class! Using an 8x10 canvas, you’ll create a charming snow bird perched in a frosty scene—perfect for the season and easy to customize with your own color choices. Step-by-step instruction makes this class ideal for beginners and experienced painters alike. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your finished artwork ready to display or gift. This class is intended for all ages. This class is open for early registration on January 2 starting at 6am online and 8am in-person/phone.

The American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support class trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instrumental materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
